"There's a hacker lurking around DeviantART that will change your password and put Thomas the tank pictures in your Sta.sh and post inappropriate pics on your account.
They will post bad pictures only if they hack your account. If they found out you posted a journal entry about this warning, they will know what's up and they won't hack your account. They will also be posting journal entries saying things like "I hate you all! Go die!" and remove all your watchers. The best thing you could do now is copy this warning and post for all your friends and watchers to see and spread the word! The hacker will go around hacking accounts and block your friends to get your friends to block you back, get you in trouble, and get you banned from DeviantART.
If you want to save your account, you should make a journal entry with this warning to keep the hacker from hacking your account. So, SPREAD THE WORD!!!"

Well, this it it; a lot of people are hoping they'll wake up tommorrow and find out D.A./Wix has been yanking their chain or that the delay in getting anything meaningful done/seen to will work in their favour for once, but I have little to no faith and am thus posting this as the last work I will do on Classic, aka TRUE, D.A.
Good luck to all of you who stay, and better luck to those trying to find/make better platforms.
[Also, apparently today's the anniversary of the Mt. St. Helens eruption. I find the irony darkly amusing not to mention fitting.]

The hacker does vital region pictures around in the account page and writes in journals: "I hate you all, go die" And he/she will also remove all your watches. If this happens to me, then you know that it isn't me. I write this journal to warn everyone here. I suggest you copy this journal and warn your watchers as well. I think the hackers will not have more fun with hacking you if you and your watchers already know what could happen. You might get this message multiple times from multiple people of your watch list, but it's better than not getting it. Spread the word! This hacker is going around and hacking into other people's accounts to block your friends so that your friends block you, get you in trouble, and could get you banned from DeviantART. If you get this warning, copy and paste this into your Journal and spread this to everyone.
(Pretty sure this is a chain letter, but I'll do this just to be on the safe side.)

This hacker has been going around making a name for himself on the site.
He'll hack into your account,but lay low for at least a week.
You'll never know he is there until you start seeing pictures of Thomas the Tank Engine saved on your sta.sh
This will continue for a while until a journal with title 'It's too late' is posted on your profile.
The journal will be nothing but lyrics to the song 'Hungry like a wolf' by Duran Duran.
Then he will change your password and begin sending notes to your watchers asking them for sexual favors in return for stock in Slim Jims.
He will post poorly drawn My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic fan art on your profile,most of which involve Pinkie Pie reciting passages from The Old Testament while wearing various outfits from 1970's Sears catalogs.
After five days time,he will delete at least four of your watchers randomly and tag every single person that YOU watch in almost every single post.
Then he will begin to write disturbing letters about Barack Obama with screen-caps from those really weird Rock-Auto.com commercials.
Finally after enough time has passed,he will delete all of your content,hack into your bank account,force you to buy a 7-year premium membership, change your username to a variation of OHMYGODLOOKATTHOSESHOESTHEONESWITHELACE,and then post 37 pictures of his odd misshapen nipples on your account.
Post this in your journal to let your watchers know that you haven't been hacked and warn them about this rampant hacker! Don't let yourself become his latest victim!

SOPA AND PIPA--and worse--ACTA!

First things first: ACTA concerns more than just the US citicens among us, unlike SOPA - which obviously will still break much of the internet IF it passes!
Okay, so after the internet blackout this wednesday I'm sure everyone has heard about SOPA and PIPA by now. If not, get out of the rock you've been living under these months, open up your trusted online news source and type "SOPA" into the search engine. And then try the same with "ACTA". You most likely won't find much about it, BBC and CCN didn't turn up anything when I searched there, for example.
So, What is ACTA?
ACTA stands for Anti Counterfeit Trade Agreement. And what it does is basically the same as SOPA and PIPA: It allows internet sites being taken down because of copyright infringement, even if it's committed by users. Ok, but how can it be any worse than SOPA?
Easy: By being an international agreement! Back when I first heard about SOPA, I thought only the US government could attempt something that stupid. But then I accidentally stumbled opun an article about ACTA. Turns out this agreement has been developed for years. In secret. And that's what they call democracy nowadays. As of the latest status I could find (December 2011), 8 of 11 Countries had already signed ACTA. That includes Canada, the USA, New Zealand and (if I remember correctly) Japan, to name a few.
In the European Union - which happens to include my home country - the treaty has been signed by - no joke - the Council of Agriculture and Fishing. That's right, farmers and fishermen decided over copyright laws and the internet. But, for EU citizens, there is still hope! Right now - unless I missed some news (which are scarce) - the matter is carried to European Court of Justice, to check if it's actually compatible with EU civil rights. If nothing's in the way, the Eurpoean Parliament will decide on ACTA. I can only pray the treaty will be rejected. But wait! I can do more than praying - We can do more! Namely:
* Spread the word! Copy this text into your own journal, tweet about it, write it on your facebook wall, your blog, make a youtube video,inform your friends and relatives, print and hand out flyers! So that as many people as possible will do the following:
* Inform yourself! I've provided some links in the bottom of this journal, click them, read them, do your own research! And finally, once you've educated yourself enough:
* A C T ! There are a few online petititions running, though by far not as many as against SOPA. Sign them! Set up your own, if you have the possibility. Contact your representitives! Call them, e-mail them, write them letters, do anything within your power to express your concerns! The protest against ACTA is not as loud as the one against SOPA - change that!
